Often,
I'm being asked what products I suggest for grooming
our beautiful little Cotons. To help and answer those questions
I have created this page, where you'll find all of the products
that
we use and highly recommand when grooming and buying products
for your Coton de Tulear friend.
Duurstede
Shampoo EF - Conditioner DT and Styling Gel
Since
1998, all of "de Montarville" Cotons are bath
with Duurstede products. We loved them so much that we
decided
to be
authorized distributors for Duurstede
   |
Wet
the coat thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Apply a very small amount of *shampoo
to your hands, then apply to coat. Alternate adding
shampoo and water until a lather just starts to appear.
Leave on for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing completely
using lukewarm water. Place your hand gently over the
dog's eyes to keep the eyelids closed and help stop
the entry of rinse water.
Duurstede® Shampoo-EF won't irritate your dog's
eyes.
*we highly suggest you dilute the concentrated shampoo
and conditionner with distilled water for maximum success.

In
between baths when grooming there isn't anything better
than Hydrolat
|

Our
favorite is the Lavender;
Lavender is perfect for sensitive
skin and general skin problems
and it also calms and releave the stress.
In the summer we use the Citronnella;
it is a flea and insect repellent.

|
Hydrolat
is 100% natural
Hydrolat
is the distilled water of aromatic plants.
- It
has many functions:
Gives a shiny and lustrous coat
Is an antistatic
A deep care treatment for specific skin problem
As a care product, efficiency is instantaneous!!
How
to use:
I suggest
you start brushing your dog at a very early age, so
she/he will get used to it and will find it to be a
real relaxing and special time with its owner. Ask your
breeder to show you how to line brush. When brushing
always use a mist (spray) never brush on a dry coat.
